We’ve been working with the assistance of knitting groups at the Library and Community Soul Café in Wallasey Village. We’ve been busy knitting poppies to provide a display at the front of the library for Remembrance Sunday. The purple poppies represent the animals that were killed, and in particular the horses that died, in the First World War.

We have also added a simple poem about the meaning of the poppy. A few of the team will be meeting at the display tomorrow, Sunday 10th November at 11am to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

If you would like to join us you will be very welcome.
