Meet the Bloomers

Michelle Price (Chair)michelle

Michelle works part-time for the NHS. All her spare time is spent with her family and WVIB, all of whom keep her very busy but gardening is her passion.  When the opportunity came along to form WVIB community group she jumped at the chance. Michelle loves to watch how beautifully the flowers grow and the enjoyment the local community get when they  see the plants.  Michelle is very enthusiastic about WVIB and is always looking for new projects to ‘Make our Village Smile with Flowers’.

Suzanne Broster (Treasurer)suzi

Suzie is a busy working mum.  She works part-time as a medical secretary in a GP practice in Wirral. She is also chair of the Weatherhead Parents Teachers and Friends Association.  She’s a keen gardener and has learnt everything she knows from her parents who used to own a florists in Wallasey Village.

Suzie loves being part of WVIB and helping to put some colour and flowers back into the village.  Suzi comments: ‘All the hard word that the Bloomers put in is worth the wonderful feedback and comments from everyone’.

Anne Williams (Secretary)anne-2

Anne loves flowers, her family and friends.  She also loves living in Wallasey near to the sea, having moved here from landlocked Birmingham in 1992!

Leah Fraser (Communications)leah

Leah lives in Wallasey and was a local councillor in the area for many years.  She was inspired by ‘the team’ and their determination to improve Wallasey Village.  Although not a natural gardener, she’s proud to be a ‘bloomer’ and a fully-fledged member of the team!

Valerie Hemingway (Health & Safety)Val updated photo

Val is a retired teacher and Wallasey resident since childhood. She enjoys travel and visiting national parks and gardens.  Val is a very keen gardener and passionate about WVIB restoring pride in our village and a sense of community.

Mark Williamsmark-2

Mark was born and bred in Wallasey and is married to Anne.  He cares passionately about the area; playing golf at Wallasey golf club and enjoying time with Anne and the dogs.
