Get involed
We are the proud winners of the Silver Gilt Medal Award 2017 and Gold Award 2018 from RHS Britain in Bloom North West.
Since we started our gardening journey, our aims have been to become more environmentally friendly, improving the well-being of our community and enhancing the beauty of our village as a whole. If you would like to become one of the ‘Bloomers’ and help us continue ‘Making our Village Smile with Flowers’, please contact us directly when we are out and about in the village or email us using the form on our ‘Contacts’ page and we’ll get back to you.
Sponsor a Barrier Planter
If you are a business, the simplest way to get involved is to sponsor a planter or host one for someone else. We advertise our sponsors on the chosen barrier planter and on social media.
Watering
Water can be heavy, too heavy for us to carry so we’ve invested in a water carrier which we wheel along – you won’t be expected to lift anything heavy. But if you’d like to help in the drier weather it would be much appreciated. We have recently been able to buy a second water carrier with thanks to a very generous benefactor.
Not Very Green Fingered?…
… but would like to help? Don’t worry! We’re all volunteers and no gardening experience is required. Any time you can give (however long or short) will always be appreciated. We provide everything you’ll need, even a coffee! New members are always welcome.
Litter and Weeds
It’s all about appearance and caring. If you see litter and weeds outside your business or when walking to the shops it’s so easy to collect litter and pick out weeds – every little helps!
Community areas and planters
Everything we do is for the community and we maintain some beautiful areas of Wallasey Village; Mike’s Circle, the Mediterranean Area, planters and half barrels throughout the Village, also our Library and the Sensory Garden and our latest project Wallasey Village Cottage Garden. If you’d like to help, volunteers are always welcome.
Thank you
